HMH stun Brady in cup
HMH U18’s showed why the next generation of jewish footballers is alive and well, as they claimed the scalp of Division One Brady Maccabi in the upset of the round.

In an engrossing encounter both sides created good chances in the first half but found both defences and goalkeepers in good form.
In the second half, HMH started to express themselves more and their slick football soon resulted in some chances as first George Goldberg and then Dom Feldman smacked the crossbar, whilst Eli Wegrzyn and Josh Dreyfuss forced top drawer saves from the Brady goalkeeper. On another day HMH might have rued missing those and it required a phenomenal goal-line clearance from Ozzy Doron to stop Brady nicking the tie in normal time.
Into extra-time, Teddy Levenfiche went close for HMH but Brady then took the lead when a through ball was despatched home.
You might have expected the older more experienced Brady to have seen the game out, but HMH drove on and equalised with a sublime goal created by a sparkling interchange from George Goldberg and Teddy Levenfiche which carved open the Brady defence and from the ensuing cross, Dom Feldman slammed the ball home.
HMH did’nt stop there as they continued to seek out a winner and it duly came five minutes from the end of extra-time courtesy of an absolute 25 yard screamer from Teddie Levenfiche which powered its way into the top corner.
HMH manager Avi Goldberg said: “Those 17-year-olds showed why they are ones to watch for in the future. It was a superb performance. We outplayed them in large parts of the game with superb one and two touch football. We never stopped going and with the quality we have, I was confident we would carve out some more chances. Nevertheless it still took 2 outstanding goals to settle the match. The boys are unbeaten this season in the premier division of the Watford Friendly League and are on a roll.”
