Tilly celebrates 100th birthday with Halloween themed-party!
Tilly Rabbie belatedly celebrated her 100th birthday with her neighbours and friends at Shine House, the jLiving property in Finchley, where she has lived for the past two years. She was initially due to celebrate her landmark birthday at their tea party, back on 12th March, however, fell and broke her hip the night before, meaning she spent her birthday in hospital instead.
However, having made an incredible recovery, she was though able to celebrate it at the weekend with her friends at the Shine House Halloween tea party, which saw everyone get into the swing of things by wearing something spooky – for some of the tenants it was the first time they had celebrated Halloween in their 80 and 90-year-old lives!
Scheme manager Ania said: “Tilly didn’t come down for tea for months following her fall, but now she can move around pretty quickly. She was very happy to come to the Halloween tea party and that her fellow tenants were able to come down to the lounge for the gathering.”
