2,000 flock to Israel summit in Florida

With 119 speakers and an audience of around 2,000, the Israeli American Council event gathered thought leaders and influencers

Israeli and American leaders convened in South Florida last week for the 7th annual IAC National Summit for sessions spanning business, philanthropy, international relations, education and technology.

With 119 speakers and an audience of around 2,000, the Israeli American Council event gathered thought leaders and influencers as discussion turned to topics such as Jewish leadership, community building, Jewish heritage, and Israeli culture. Speakers included Israel’s Defence Minister Benny Gantz, Diaspora Affairs Minister Nachman Shai, as well as Aliyah and Integration Minister Pnina Tamano Shata, plus the Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations, Gilad Erdan.

From the world of arts, culture, current affairs, and politics, there were award-winning authors, actors, comedians, musicians, and journalists, alongside several American senators.

Discussing change in the Jewish world, was political donor Dr Miriam Adelson, Eric Fingerhut of the Jewish Federations of North America, Mark Charendoff of the Maimonides Fund, and Marina Yudborovsky, chief executive of Genesis Philanthropy Group (GPG).
