Douglas Murray received an honorary award from Israel’s President Isaac Herzog and Minister of Diaspora Affairs Amichai Chikli during a ceremony in Jerusalem this week.

The award was given to Murray for being a “friend to the Jewish people and fighting the resurgence of antisemitism.”

“The whole world should hear the words of Douglas Murray
as he shows the stark difference between Israel and its jihadist enemies. We love and honour life,” President Herzog said as he gave him the award.

Chikli called Murray a “leader who fearlessly speaks the truth amidst a symphony of lies and who understands that the war we fight is not limited to the future of Israel.”

“It is a war for the future of humanity. On behalf of the people of Israel, Thank you,” he added.

Murray has been covering the war between Israel and Hamas for months, engaging in heated debates on TV.

While his opponents have slammed him as a “Zionist propagandist”, Murray has become a firebrand in Israel, as well as among pro-Israelis abroad.
