A sorry Sunday for Israel’s sailors

Both and men and women duo suffer further poor results.

Eyal Levin and Dan Froylich

Israel’s two 470 sailing sides saw their chances of reaching the medal race diminish even further on Sunday following the completion of the sixth and seventh races of the Opening Series.

Eyal Levin and Dan Froyliche have slipped a further place down the rankings in the Men’s event to 19th place following their 20th and 16th place finishes in the latest two races. With four races to go, they currently sit 32 points off the top-ten places.

Women duo Gil Cohen and Nina Amir fared exactly the same as they slipped one position down the overall table into 19th place. They finished the sixth race in 17th place and the seventh in 14th, meaning they’re a whopping 37 points off a top-ten spot. The eighth race of both competitions was postponed.
