Adam Sandler’s Netflix Batty

He has just organised and TikTok-shared his daughter Sunny’s bat mitzvah at the Los Angeles’ Hillcrest Country Club where guests including Jennifer Aniston were whooping it up to moshiac.  Now Adam Sandler is making another bat mitzvah for Netflix.

The Zohan star who is equally famous for his Chanukah songs is doing an adaptation of Fiona Rosenbloom’s 2005 cult teen novel “You Are SO Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah!” which tells the story of Stacy Friedman’s preparations for her bimah performance and big party with friends. The comedy will feature Sandler as Stacy’s dad, Morton, with possible appearances by Sandler’s teen daughters Sadie and Sunny as the siblings and his wife Jackie as the mother, though this is unconfirmed.  Jewish actress Idina Menzel and comedian Sarah Sherman have also signed up to be at the bat mitzvah, which won’t be like any bat mitzvah you’ve attended  in the UK.
