The Apprentice is back – meet Lord Sugar’s TWO kosher hopefuls!

Two Jewish contestants feature in this year’s series of The Apprentice, which starts next Tuesday.

Daniel Lassman, 27, and 23-year-old Ella Jade Bitton are among 20 candidates competing for the chance to work with Alan Sugar.

With a desire to get “as rich as I can as quickly as possible,” Essex-born Lassman is determined to get his hands on the £250,000 prize investment money.

“I am obsessed with success and am absolutely driven to perform well in everything I do,” explained Lassman, a former pupil of King Solomon High School.

“My dream to be a professional footballer was cut short due to injury so I became passionate instead about making money in other ways.”

Having left school with no qualifications, Lassman – who now plays Sunday morning Maccabi football for the Redbridge Jewish Care A team – went on to set up his own pub quiz company planning and running events, including pub quizzes, for companies and individuals across the country.

However, it was the skills he picked up working for his late father Michael, a market trader, that he believes will help him impress the judges.

“Working on the market stalls I picked up great knowledge of how to buy and sell successfully,” he said. “It also gave me a great insight into how to deal with all sorts of different people.”

Business management graduate Ella Jade Bitton, who lives in Hertfordshire, is one of the youngest contestants on the show.

Despite her age, the daughter of entrepreneur Paul Bitton-who is managing director of the North London successful British Bathroom centre- has already developed a strong business insight.

As well as negotiating an interior design concession stand in Harrods for her family business at the age of 16, Bitton has been responsible for the marketing strategy and online presence of her family’s interior design company since leaving university.

The tenth series of The Apprentice returns on Tuesday 14th October 2014 at 9pm on BBC One and BBC One HD. The 12-week show will be followed by a second episode on Wednesday.
