Atias secures silver at Euro taekwondo champs

Israel’s sole taekwondo fighter at this summer’s Olympic Games, Ron Atias, won silver in the U58 kg event at the European Championships in Montreux, Switzerland.

The 21-year-old, who’re ranked 80, was beaten to gold by the world number 2, Portuguese Rui Braganca. He said: “My goal in Rio is to win the gold medal.”
