Awesome foursome! Magic group 4GM through to Britain’s Got Talent final

A JCOSS student has secured a place at Sunday’s live final after his magic group wowed the public on ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent.

Magician Josh Hennes, 17, from Cockfosters, whose stage name is Josh Horus appeared on the ITV talent show with teen magic group, 4MG, on Tuesday night.

The all-male act featuring Josh, alongside James Samuel, Harry Nardi and Theo Mallalieu, were voted through by the public after their magic act saw former contestants Stavros Flatley make a surprise appearance.

The magicians asked Simon Cowell to pick the name of one former Britain’s Got Talent act from a list.

The music mogul chose the British-Greek Cypriot father-son dance duo while fellow judges Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon were tasked with picking out three words between them.

The words “soft”, “star” and “valley” were revealed as an anagram of “Stavros Flatley”.

The act ended with the pair bursting from lockers positioned at the back of the stage to applause from the studio audience.

Another act that surprised some viewers was hand-farter Guy First, who certainly brought in the laughs.

The hopeful has his own YouTube channel where he presents his talent alongside different music tracks.

His audition was no different, with Guy hand-farting along to the likes of Take On Me by A-Ha.

During the group’s audition on Saturday night, they wowed the room as they performed a seemingly impossible trick involving picking out the correct cards chosen by each of the judges – even though one was inside a closed packet of cards, which in turn had been placed inside a glass bottle that had to be smashed open with a hammer.

Walliams, one of four judges who put 4MG through to tonight’s show, described the group as “the boyband of magic”, while Alesha Dixon said they were “unique”.

Simon Cowell added: “I’ve never seen an act like this before. It was amazing. I really like you guys.”

Josh has been perfecting his magic skills since the age of seven, alongside a long-running interest in football, tennis and surfing. The talented lad has even competed at the Maccabiah Games.

The first live semi-final of the ITV show, which aired on Monday, proved to be eventful, with Dixon announcing she was expecting a baby and Holden accidentally saying the F-word.
