Barry Manilow this week showed no signs of ill effect after emergency oral surgery in Los Angeles following “complications” after an earlier procedure.

The 72-year old singer-songwriter, famous for his hit single ‘Copacabana,’ was rushed to hospital on Thursday night after a performance in Memphis, part of his ‘One Last Time – One Last Tour’ series of shows in the U.S. and U.K.

A Facebook post said Manilow had been “instructed not to talk, sing, or rap” but the singer was back to his best on Sunday, when he took to the stage for Clive Davis’ pre-Grammys party in L.A. on Sunday night.

Concerns were first raised last week when Manilow had to cancel shows in Kentucky and Nashville at short notice, but his return to health could be timely, with his latest album in-line for his 15th Grammy Award.
