Beit Halochem UK ‘It’s a Knockout’ event raises £46,000
Funds will support construction of specialised PTSD clinics in Israel, providing essential care for veterans and victims of terror
More than 1,150 children and 700 adults came together for Beit Halochem UK’s annual It’s a Knockout event on Sunday 7 June, at JFS School in Harrow.
Thanks to the generosity of those that attended, £46,000 was raised to help support the 70,000 disabled veterans and victims of terror who rely on Beit Halochem’s rehabilitation centres across Israel.
The charity has recovery sites in Tel Aviv, Haifa, Jerusalem and Beer Sheva, supporting 70,000 veterans and their families, including 19,000 since 7 October 2023.
The fifth centre in Ashdod is due to open towards the end of the year.
The funds raised will be directed towards the construction of specialised PTSD clinics at the centre in Beer Sheva, providing essential care and support for thousands of Beit Halochem members living with lasting trauma.
The charity said they are “extremely grateful to everyone that donated, volunteered, and cheered from the sidelines, making a fun filled family day into something truly special and meaningful. Together we proved once again that when our community comes together, we can create something special.”
