Benjamin Netanyahu: Israel cares more about Palestinians than their leaders

Israel's PM said Hamas stole money from Palestinians to build a war machine to murder Jews

Israel’s prime minister claimed it cares more about Palestinians than their leaders, because Hamas is ‘stealing’ money to “kill our children”.

Speaking in a video address, Benjamin Netanyahu said “I’m going to say something now that some of you will not believe. But I’m going to say it anyway because it’s true.

“Consider the following: A few days ago, the world learned that Hamas, the terrorist organization that rules Gaza, stole millions of dollars from humanitarian organizations like World Vision and the United Nations.

Innocent and impoverished Palestinians were denied vital aid supplied from nations around the world.

Hamas used this stolen money to build a war machine to murder Jews.”

The Israeli leader added, that “Hamas stole critical support for Palestinian children so that they could kill our children.

So I ask you—who cares more about Palestinians?”

His statement comes after the Gaza-based head of a major Christian charity supported by UK aid was been charged with funnelling millions of pounds to Hamas.

Mohammed Halabi, head of World Vision in the Strip, was arrested in June by Israel’s internal security service Shin Bet, and will now appear before a court, charged with running a “sophisticated” funding mechanism.

Israel alleges that Halabi was a Hamas mole, planted in to the organisation ten years ago, who subsequently rose to head it, a position from which he secretly channelled up to £5 million per year to Hamas personnel, including armed combatants.

Charged with funding terror, he is alleged to have diverted up to 60 percent of the charity’s Gaza budget to the Strip’s rulers since 2010, including about £1 million in annual payments to the group’s armed wing.
