Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has visited the gravesite of his late brother, Lt.-Col Yoni Netanyahu – a lone casualty from the famous Entebbe rescue mission.

The prime minister visited the site on Mt. Herzl in Jerusalem on Friday, marking the 39th anniversary of the raid.

The daring operation by Israeli special forces in 1976, successfully rescued 102 out of 106 Israeli and Jewish hostages aboard a highjacked plane which was taken to Uganda by Palestinian terrorists.

Yoni was the only Israeli soldier to die in the operation – in which all seven high-jackers and over hundred of Ugandan soldiers were killed.
