Bike ride for 7/7 victim Miriam Hyman, on 10th anniversary

Cyclists were this week being urged to ride for Miriam Hyman, who was killed 10 years ago in the July 2005 London bombings, and whose family subsequently set up an eye care centre in India in her memory.

The three distance options – Oxford, Marlow and Golders Green – all represent personal associations for the young Jewish woman killed one of the capital’s worst terrorist attacks in recent memory.

The tenth anniversary of her death in the capital’s worst terrorist attack will also see the launch of an electronic education resource based on her story.

Miriam was a picture editor on her way to work in Canary Wharf when she was caught in the Tavistock Square bus explosion. She was 31 years old.
