Boxer Milch claims fourth professional win

Light middleweight boxer Tony Milch maintained his 100 percent winning start to his professional career when he beat Ben Robinson at the Camden Centre.

Up against a heavier opponent, his 39-37 points win was all the more satisfying given that he boxed the majority of the fight with a broken hand which he sustained early on in the fight.

Reflecting on his latest win, he told jewishnews.co.uk: “The fight was great, it was good to be in there with a strong heavier opponent, to impose my skills [on him] and to get the win.

“I suffered the injury after a fast start, it was metacarpal damage on my left hand which made it tougher to get good solid shots off. It’s a classic boxer’s fracture and will set me back a month or so in terms of training and a fight schedule. But I was happy that I remained composed through the fight and delivered.”

Saying he’s extremely happy with how his fledgling professional career has gone to date, and looking to hopefully next box a six-round contest, he says: “I’m averaging a fight every couple of months and have been developing my skill set throughout. I was hoping to box next in April back at the Camden Centre, but due to the injury, May is now more realistic.”
