CEO of British Emunah resigns

A British charity that supports thousands of vulnerable families in Israel has announced that its director and chief executive officer has resigned.

British Emunah’s CEO, Sharon Dewinter will step down at the end of the year.

Dewinter has been at the helm of the charity which supports projects in Israel for at-risk and vulnerable families in care. It supports over 200 projects throughout Israel and touches the lives of over 10,000.

Marking the announcement, Dewinter said: “It has been a privilege to help shape British Emunah’s path over the last few years and I am so proud of what we have achieved. I believe passionately in Emunah’s cause and I look forward to following the charity’s progress.”

British Emunah’s Chair, Hilary Lewis, said “British Emunah has benefitted immeasurably from Sharon’s guidance over the past five years and we wish her every success for the future.

“The Trustees will now form a small committee to recruit a new chief executive officer and ensure a smooth transition.”
