Bristol’s ‘end Zionsim’ professor is believed to be seeking a High Court order against social media giant Twitter.

According to court filings on 18 February, David Miller is seeking a ‘Norwich Pharmacal’ order against Twitter.

He is being represented by media lawyers, Carter-Ruck.

Norwich Pharmacal orders can be used to force disclosure of information from third parties such as social media companies.

Miller did not respond to a request for comment and Twitter declined to comment.

Jewish students have spoken out about Miller using alleged antisemitic tropes, leading to thousands signing a petition to sack him.

Students last night also held a virtual rally, called ‘Hate Off Campus’ in protest what they called two years of inaction from Bristol.

Speakers including Countdown’s Rachel Riley urged the university to take action, saying Jewish students had been made to feel unsafe on campus for too long.
