Chair of Trustees

Location: London
Salary: Unremunerated
Contract type: Permanent
Date closing: 21/05/2023

The Anne Frank Trust UK is an education charity that empowers young people aged 9 to 15 to challenge all forms of prejudice.

We reach over 90,000 young people a year across Britain and have outstanding evidence of our impact on antisemitism and other forms of hatred. Founded in 1991 by friends of Anne’s father Otto, we are uniquely licensed to use the Diary and Frank family photographs for educational purposes in the UK.

The next stage of our growth as a charity will involve generating a strategy up to the centenary of Anne Frank’s birth in 2029.

Our current chair Daniel Mendoza, who was awarded an OBE for the role, reaches the end of his term later this year.

We are now seeking an inspiring and collaborative chair who believes strongly in our mission and our potential. You will bring an impressive track record of leadership at a strategic level, strong networks for securing donors and in-kind support, warm and wide-ranging social skills, and a sound understanding of Jewish life.
