Charity executive lands top role at Jnetics

A charity executive has landed the top role at a Jnetics, an organisation dedicated to preventing genetic disorders in the UK’s Jewish community.

Nicole Gordon, who recently returned to the UK from the United States after a year living in the United States, is a former executive director of Jewish Child’s Day.

She said she was “so excited” to take on the role at Jnetics, which she described as “tailor made” for her.

“I studied biochemistry and immunology at university and undertook a two-year research post developing a vaccine against malaria in third world countries, and I have always been passionately interested in genetic variation and hereditary disorders,” she said, adding she cares “hugely about the future of our community.”

Chair of the board of trustees Tony Angel said Gordon “brings a unique blend of experience in a leadership role and of working in the community, alongside a passion for and understanding of the scientific and medical background to our work.”
