Charlie aiming for Number 10 with UK Youth Parliament

Charlie Coverman is quite clear where his political future lies: Number 10, writes Dean Joseph.

15-year-old Charlie Coverman.

The 15-year-old from Radlett has been nominated for the UK Youth Parliament (UKYP) and believes he has the attributes to be the voice for young people.

“They need someone with a bit of character to stand for election and hopefully I’ll get involved and make changes that affect young people directly. I’ll also try improving mental care for young people in and around the country and the county” Charlie said.

The Immanuel College student is a regular attendee at Radlett Synagogue and says his Jewish surroundings have directly influenced him.

“I go to synagogue every Friday night and attend a Jewish school. I think it’s had an impact,” he said. “My aim is to hopefully become prime minister or a senior figure in politics.”

Voting ends on Friday 14 February. For more information and to get your unique voting number email Vote4Charlie@live.com.
