A three-year-old boy is in hospital after the car he was travelling in hit another vehicle in Stamford Hill.

The boy was treated at the scene on Mount Pleasant Lane by members of the volunteer emergency service Hatzola, while neighbourhood watch group Shomrim was also in attendance.

A spokesperson from the Met confirmed: “Police were called to the scene of a road traffic collision at about 9.45am at Leaside Road junction with Mount Pleasant Lane, E5.”

Nearby roads were closed while police carried out investigations.

The boy is “not believed to have been seriously injured.”
