Children are being challenged to spend the night camping out in their garden or else inside in a makeshift “den” to raise money for Jewish emergency response charity Hatzola in Edgware.

An online fundraising page showed that by Monday afternoon almost £1,000 had been pledged as children were urged to “accept the challenge”.

Hatzola volunteers have been trained to use defibrillators and oxygen and can transport patients to hospital. Launched five years ago, the Edgware branch was the fifth in the UK.

Among those supporting the ‘Tent Night’ challenge this week were Jonathan Gersch, Matty Kushner, Yishai Gabriel, Sammy Edel, Noah Rosenberg and Rafi Quint.
