Culture, kind people and food: Tel Aviv named ‘happiest city in the world’

Tel Aviv has been named the “happiest city in the world” by The Travel blog, beating cities like Madrid, Copenhagen and Zurich. 

The list names the “happiest cities in the world that are known for their positivity and prosperity,” with Tel Aviv ranked top.

Citing its “rich cultural heritage, kind people, and abundance of food, shopping, and learning,” The Travel blog argues that Tel Aviv has become a “global hot spot for spring break and vacationing as a whole.”

“One of the reasons the city is ranked highly for happiness is its progressive ideologies, often attracting the LGBTQ+ community to visit,” it concluded in its description of the city.

Tel Aviv is known as the LGBT capital of the Middle East, with hundreds of thousands participating in the annual Pride Parade.

Often referred to as the “Miami of the Middle East”, Tel Aviv is also known for its wide beaches, night life, and culinary experiences.

Two cities in California, San Jose and Fremont, were int the top five, which also included Madrid (Spain), and Stockholm (Sweden).
