Dan Green appointed to top role at Anne Frank Trust UK
Ahead of centenary of Anne’s birth in 2029, new chief executive 'deeply committed to ensuring the next generation is equipped to create a more just, inclusive society'
The Anne Frank Trust UK has appointed Dan Green as its new chief executive, following the retirement of Tim Robertson after seven years in post.
Green has held senior roles in the charity sector for over a decade. Having served as chief executive of ORT UK, he later became chief operating officer of World ORT, and from 2020 until the end of 2024 served as its director general and chief executive officer.
Founded in 1991 by friends of Otto Frank, Anne Frank Trust UK uses the life and legacy of Anne Frank to equip young people to recognise and challenge antisemitism and all forms of prejudice.
Green said: “I am delighted to have the opportunity to lead the Anne Frank Trust UK. Anne’s story continues to resonate so powerfully, reminding us where hatred can lead. Now more than ever, with prejudice and division on the rise, the Trust’s work is uniquely effective in helping young people recognise and challenge antisemitism and prejudice in all its forms.”
The incoming CEO added that he is “deeply committed to building on this vital work and ensuring that the next generation is equipped to create a more just, inclusive society.”
Chair of trustees Nicola Cobbold said Green’s “proven leadership, clarity of vision and deep commitment to education and inclusion make him the ideal person to take us into our next chapter.
“Anne Frank’s legacy is at the heart of everything we do, inspiring our mission to challenge prejudice in all its forms. As we look ahead to the centenary of Anne’s birth in 2029, we are excited to work with Dan to deepen the impact of our multi-prejudice model and reach even more young people across the UK.”
In 2024, the Anne Frank Trust reached more than 126,000 young people in more than 750 schools across England and Scotland.
Green will join the organisation in early September.
