Doubles delight for Israeli junior at French Open

Yshai Oliel wins the boys' doubles title at Roland Garros.

Yshai Oliel ensured there was an Israeli win at this year’s French Open after he won the doubles title at Roland Garros.

Teaming up with Patrik Rikl, the Israeli-Czech duo beat Korean Yunseong Chung and Brazilian Orlando Luz
6-3 6-4

The 16-year-old is ranked 1,606 in the world and was knocked out of the boys singles competition in the second round.

Dudi Sela, who was the only senior Israeli to take part in the main draw at this year’s competition won the same title in Paris back in 2003.
