All Aboard sponsored more than 500 doughnuts for children and staff at Hertsmere Jewish Primary School as a thank you for a massive Chanukah collection drive held at the school last Friday.
Youngsters at the school, based in Radlett, donated hundreds of bags of clothes, toys, books, bric-a-brac, homeware and other pre-loved goods to the charity, which will be sold across its chain of 19 shops across London and Manchester.
Founded in 1987, All Aboard supports a wide range of local charities, including helping vulnerable children, students and the elderly, people living with illness and disabilities, veterans and victims of abuse.
Evelyn Andresier, the charity’s marketing and collections manager, said: “We would like to thank the HJPS PTA for organising the Chanukah Collection Drive and a huge thanks to all the children for their donations of pre-loved goods to sell in our shops.”
Jane Goodman, chair of HJPS’ PTA said: “It was great that we could perform a mitzvah and bring some tikkun olam to HJPS at this time. We are very thankful to All Aboard for coordinating this with us and sponsoring doughnuts for all our children.”
