Dudu Fisher to entertain hundreds at Israel 66 celebration

Around 1,500 Israel supporters are expected to mark the country’s birthday next week at the Zionist Federation’s annual Yom Haatzmaut celebration in central London.

Dudu Fisher – the legendary Israeli singer who has performed in front of the Queen, President Clinton, and Pope Benedict – will take to the stage on Tuesday as part of a gala show marking 66 years since the state’s creation.

Other performers at the show, which is media partnered by the Jewish News, will include Kathleen Reiter, winner of the Israeli version of ‘The Voice’ and the Shabbaton Choir. Revellers will also have an opportunity to visit an Israeli fair with a wide range of organisations and companies showcasing their goods and services.

ZF director Alan Aziz said:“ The ZF is proud to have led the community for many years now with the biggest Yom Haatzmaut celebration in Europe. Israel is going through a very challenging time but Yom Haatzmaut is the day in the year just to celebrate Israels existence and achievement and invite the whole community to join us.”
