Erlich wins opening doubles match at French Open

Israel’s sole senior player at this year’s French Open is through to the second round of the men’s doubles competition.

Pairing up with Brazilian Andre Sa, the pair beat slovakian Martin Klizan and Portugal’s Joao Sousa 6-3, 7-5. They next take on Mexican Santiago Gonzalez and American Donald Young.

Later on Wednesday, Argentine Diego Schwartzman looks to book his place in the third round of the men’s singles competition when he faces Italian Stefano Napolitano.The first meeting between the two is scheduled to be the second match on Court 8.
