The short film explores the threats from Islamism, the far right and the rise of anti-Semitic politics to Europe

Europe in Crisis – A Shattered Haven‘ looks at the consequences for Europe’s minorities, with a focus on Jewish Communities that have recently been the target of deadly terror attacks in Brussels, Paris and Copenhagen.

It follows with a Jewish family leaving France a man who survived a terror attack, an ex-Islamist extremist as well as Ministers and civil society leaders that are fighting intolerance and violent extremism.

Some Jewish communities have been targets for years and as a consequence many within them are leaving for Israel and outside of Europe.

The documentary is supported by archive footages and features interviews conducted by Stephen Sackur, BBC Hard Talk host, with experts, politicians, European citizens and representatives of different communities who shared their testimonies and analysis following the recent tragic events.

Key people featured in the film include Dr Moshe Kantor, President of the European Council on Tolerance and Reconciliation, Harlem Désir, Secretary of State for European Affairs in France and Maajid Nawaz, Founder of Quilliam Foundation.
