Labour has suspended a former candidate in Norfolk who allegedly described Hillary Clinton as a “Rothschild w***e” on social media, it is understood.

Joseph Dickerson, who stood in the Breckland Council elections in May, has been suspended pending an investigation.

Reams of messages referencing the Rothschild family and dismissing Labour antisemitism claims were posted from his social media, as reported by the anonymous anti-racism page GnasherJew.

A tweet, from 2015, claims ISIS was trained and armed by the CIA and funded by the Rothschild family, adding: “as are most of the terrorists around the world today.”

A message, tweeted out the same year, reads: “W***e come in many guises, especially Rothschild w***e.”

Another message, which was tweeted last year, asserts that The Vatican has “huge investments with Rothschilds of Britain, France and America.”

A Facebook post and tweet sent this year claim that a French Jewish organisation ordered President Emmanuel Macron to “criminalise opposition to […] Zionism”.

A Labour Party spokesperson said: “The Labour Party takes all complaints of antisemitism extremely seriously and we are committed to challenging and campaigning against it in all its forms.

“All complaints about antisemitism are fully investigated in line with our rules and procedures and any appropriate disciplinary action is taken.”
