Foreman makes winning return to the ring

Yuri Foreman made a winning return to the boxing ring on Saturday night when he beat Lenwood Dozier on points in New York.

Stepping back into the ring having quit in 2013, the former junior middleweight boxing champion, is also a newly ordained Orthodox rabbi, and won a close eight-round encounter, with all three judges giving him a 77-75 points win in the Super Welterweight bout at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Thanking his fans after the fight, he said: “Thank you all for the support and all the love you showed me. It felt great to be back in the ring after a two-year break.

“Thanks to my coaches who prepared me for this fight. ‪Thank G‬-d and thanks for all the friends who showed up, said a prayer and sent good vibes! Have a happy Chanukah!”
