Former chair of St John’s Wood synagogue made vice patron of Royal Marines charity

Philanthropist Keith Breslauer is stepping down as a trustee of the charity after eight years.

The Royal Marines Association CEO Jonathan Ball presented Keith Breslauer with a HM Royal Marines Band side-drum during this year’s Guildhall Dinner in London.

The former chairman of St. Johns Wood synagogue has been appointed vice patron of the Royal Marines charity (RMA).

An American citizen who has lived in England for 25 years, Keith Breslauer is an award-winning businessman, philanthropist and managing director of pan-European private equity firm Patron Capital.

The appointment is in recognition of Breslauer’s long-standing support for the charity and comes as he prepares to step down as a trustee after eight years.

Breslauer said: “My work for The Royal Marines charity is an extension of my belief in giving back to society and reflects my role in our Jewish community, whether being the former chairman of the St John’s Wood synagogue or supporting Jewish charities. Joining up these interests is very important.”

Jonathan Ball of RMA said: “Since 2010, Keith has used his boundless energy, drive and passion to help enhance the lives of hundreds of Royal Marines, helping them rebuild their lives following injury, both physical and psychological, through the Royal Marines charity in smaller groups and directly.”
