Former porn star turns kosher cook as she announces conversion to Judaism

She may be best known among users of the internet for a pornographic career spanning two decades – but retired ‘Queen of Porn’ Jenna Jameson has quietly carved out a new niche online as a devotee of Jewish culture.

Not only has Jameson been tweeting in Hebrew and sharing her love for Israeli cuisine, but the actress has confirmed that she is converting to Judaism ahead of her upcoming marriage to her Israeli beau Lior Bitton.

The 41-year-old is engaged to the diamond merchant and convicted fraudster and has taken to social media to share her kosher meals – most recently a lavish shabbat dinner of Chilean sea bass chraimeh, potato pancakes, Israeli salad and homemade challah. 

Jameson, who announced her retirement from pornography in 2008, told fans on Twitter than she had been corresponding with Dani Klein of Jewish website YeahThatsKosher.com and consulting celebrity chef Jamie Geller’s cookbook The Joy of Kosher for inspiration. 

And despite previous public admissions that she was “very religious…extremely Catholic”, the one-time Oxford Union speaker has all but confirmed her conversion to Judaism – deploying her best Hebrew to thank those congratulating her.

In response to a fan, she said that blogging her conversion journey was “a lovely idea” – though it remains to be seen if and when Jameson will transition seamlessly into the biggest role of her career yet…as a Jewish mum.
