Golders Green Synagogue has just completed a £665,000 renovation on its Grade II listed building.

The multi-phase project included redeveloping the main prayer hall, the addition of a new multi-purpose function area and the installation of a new kitchen and bridal room, as well as modernisation works to the building’s boardroom and classrooms.

The 22-week refurbishment was completed by Styles&Wood’s London division, following the company’s  successful completion of a four-week refurbishment project at the adjoining Rimon Jewish Free School.

Steve Wilton, regional director at Styles&Wood Projects in London, said: “Golders Green Synagogue is a stunning building that fulfils a range of uses at the heart of its community. This project will ensure it’s fit to continue doing so for many years to come.”

The United Synagogue shul opened in 1922 and currently serves 500 families in the area.
