Guitarist Rothman celebrates as London Grammar pick up Ivor Novello

London Grammar, which features Jewish guitarist Dan Rothman, have picked up a coveted Ivor Novello Award for their single, Strong.

The breakhrough Brit-nominated trio, which also includes Dominic “Dot” Major and Hannah Reid, have seen a meteoric rise this year after the release of their debut album, If You Wait, went platinum, selling more than 400,000 copies in the UK alone.

They have played sold out tours across the UK, Europe, Australia and the US and had millions of Soundcloud plays along with being BRIT Award nominated.

Now the band have capped off their success with the award-winning Strong, which was voted ‘Best Song Musically and Lyrically’ at yesterday’s awards.

A full interview with Rothman, 24, who grew up in Mill Hill and Hendon and attended JFS, will be published in the next edition of Pulse magazine, out on June 26.
