Hemed heading back home to Haifa?

Brighton striker linked with £5 million move back to Israel.

Brighton's Israeli international striker is being linked with a move back to Maccabi Haifa

Maccabi Haifa are reportedly lining up a £5 million move for Brighton & Hove Albion striker Tomer Hemed.

The 29-year-old was the Championship side’s top goalscorer last season, scoring 17 times as the Seagulls reached the play-offs, and started his career at the club before moving to Spain, and then joining Brighton 12 months ago.

Hemed was on target in Brighton’s 4-0 pre-season win over Crawley on Saturday, a win which also saw compatriot Biram Kayal get on the scoresheet.
