Israeli hit Netflix show Fauda will return for a fourth season, it has been announced.

The Instagram page for the show, co-created by Avi Issacharoff and Lior Raz, posted on Monday saying: “The news we’ve all been waiting for! Fauda will be back for Season 4! See you all soon!”

Since its 2015 premiere, millions have been gripped by the show’s storyline, which revolves around Israeli unit commander Doron Kavillio, played by Raz, fighting terrorists threatening the security of the Jewish State.

Series three’s storyline was based in the West Bank and Gaza, and was partly filmed in the Israeli–Arab town of Jisr az-Zarqa, north of Caesarea.

Doron went deep undercover posing as an Israeli-Arab boxing instructor in a sports club belonging to a low-level Hamas member – before his team find themselves in unfamiliar territory – Gaza.
