Holocaust educator and former Eastenders actress condemn ‘disgusting’ Shoah poll
74 percent of users polled said that they do not believe 6m Jews were murdered in the Holocaust
Holocaust educator and the former Eastenders actress Tracy Ann Oberman have called on Twitter to remove a ‘Shoah poll’ from the social media platform.
The poll received just under 7,000 responses, with 74 percent of users polled saying that they do not believe that 6m Jews died in the Holocaust.
It was tweeted out on Wednesday by the account @Lagud2, which has over 2,400 followers, and has reportedly been flagged to the social media platform by several users.
Oberman shared the poll, tagging the co-founder and CEO of Twitter Jack Dorsey in her message.
“This is what @TwitterSupport @jack think is acceptable on their platform,” she wrote. “We will look back in years to come and ask why Mr Dorsey allowed this [sic].”
Karen Pollock, the chief executive of the Holocaust Educational Trust, also condemned the post and called on Twitter to take action.
“This is disgusting and unacceptable. @Twitter has a responsibility to remove this immediately,” she wrote.
Twitter has been approached for comment.
