Iran: ‘We kiss hands of Palestinians who planned the attack on Israel’

Iran denies being behind the massive terror attack killing over 900 Israelis.

Iran has denied any involvement in the massive terror attack launched by Hamas against Israeli civilians.

Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei however praised the slaughtering of Israeli civilians, saying: “We kiss the hands of those who planned the attack on the Zionist regime. This destructive earthquake has destroyed some critical structures (in Israel) which will not be repaired easily … The Zionist regime’s own actions are to blame for this disaster.”

Khamenei’s statement came after foreign ministry spokesman Nasser Kanani said that Iran doesn’t not intervene in the “decision-making of other countries, including Palestine. The accusations linked to an Iranian role… are based on political reasons.”

Hamas also said it wasn’t acting on orders from Iran: “It was a surprise to everyone, including Iran. We did not inform them that there was an operation that would happen at dawn on October 7. After the operation began, we informed Iran.”

Israeli experts have debated since Saturday about whether Iran was behind the attack, with some saying that Iran’s many meetings with Hamas leaders, as well as its financial and military backing, is proof that Tehran is really behind this.

The Israeli army has denied this theory. In an IDF briefing with international journalists earlier this week, where Jewish News participated, spokesperson Richard Hecht said that the while Iran’s fingerprints might be on the attack, the IDF doesn’t think the order was given directly by Iran.

Israel has long said that Iran is supplying arms and money to terror cells such as Islamic Jihad in the West Bank.
