Iranian leader’s sick slur: ‘The Holocaust’s reality is uncertain’

The British Foreign Office has condemned the Iranian Supreme Leader for questioning whether the Holocaust took place.

The shocking comments came in a tweet last week from Ayatollah Khanenei’s account which said: “#Holocaust is an event whose reality is uncertain and of it has happened its uncertain how it has happened.”

It was proceeded by another message: “Does anybody dare talk about holocaust in Europe?”

Friday’s tweet was condemned in Israel and by Jewish community leaders and a spokesperson for the foreign office told the Jewish News: “We condemn any politically or racially motivated attempts to deny or question the Holocaust.  We recognise the need to challenge such intolerable views, and have regularly spoken out in condemnation.”

Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman wrote on his Facebook page: “Even after Ahmadinejad left, and after [Iran’s current) charm offensive, a small Hiterrite moustache continues to lurk underneath the Ayatollah’s beard. This is another reminder for those who think there is a new Iran.”
