Israel’s first coronavirus death is Holocaust survivor aged 88

According to reports the victim was Aryeh Even, 88, a Holocaust survivor born in Hungary.

Israel recorded its first coronavirus death on a day its number of people infected with the virus reached 705.

Two Israeli reporters, Noga Tarnopolsky of the Los Angeles Times and Barak Ravid of Axios, reported late Friday on Twitter that an 88-year old man with preexisting conditions died at Jerusalem’s Shaarei Tzedek hospital.

According to Jerusalem Post, the victim was Aryeh Even, 88, a Holocaust survivor born in Hungary.
