Israel sends former UK deputy envoy to Bahrain, ex-embassy worker to Nigeria

The former deputy Israeli envoy to London has been appointed his country’s first ever ambassador to Bahrain.
Eitan Na’eh, who served in the UK during the tenure of Mark Regev, takes over in the Gulf kingdom following the Abraham Accords last year, normalising relations with Israel.
Na’eh was previously envoy to Turkey, before being expelled in wake of deadly border violence between Israel and Gaza. In January, he was appointed the interim head of mission for Israel in the United Arab Emirates, which also signed the Abraham Accords.
This comes as British-born Michael Freeman, who previously worked at the Israeli embassy in London, has been appointed as ambassador to Nigeria.
