Israeli airline launches limited direct flight from Luton to Eilat

One of Israel’s three major airlines is launching a rare direct flight between the UK and Eilat for one week this winter.

The Israir flight will operate between Luton Airport and Eilat Ramon airport between Christmas Eve, Sunday 24th December and Monday 1st January 2024.

The outgoing journey leaves London at 1030 arriving in Israel at 1735 and returns New Year’s Day at 16:00, landing back in the UK at 19:50.

Anthony Gothold, managing director of Hendon-based travel company Travelink told Jewish News he expects the flight to sell out quickly because of the ideal dates and convenient daytime schedules as well as prices which are across the board lower than last year despite the relatively weak rate of the pound.

“Each time direct flights are offered on limited dates we see a lot of interest,” he said.

Packages are on offer with a range of hotels including Isrotel’s Royal Garden, Astral’s Aria, The Queen of Sheba, Dan Panorama, Neptune and the Leonardo Plaza and Royal Resort both from the Fattal chain.
