Israel’s rhythmic gymnastics team have qualified for Sunday’s final of the Group All-Around competition.

Yuval Filo, Alona Koshevatskiy, Ekaterina Levina, Karina Lykhvar and Ida Mayrin made up one of 14 teams who took part in Saturday’s qualifying campaign, with only the top eight sides qualifying after they produced their two routines.

Their first, the five ribbons, saw the team, who finished sixth in the worlds last year, secure 17.250 points, registering 8.550 for difficulty and 8.700 for execution, which was the seventh best score.

They performed slightly better in the three clubs and two hoops, scoring 8.800 for difficulty and 8.833 for execution, giving them an overall total of 17.633 – and fifth best from all the teams.

Sunday’s final will be contested though two more routines, beginning at 15.00 and 15.50 UK time.
