Israel’s national rhythmic gymnastics team continued their impressive start to the season as they won gold in the ribbons final at the Thiais Grand Prix in France. On the back of winning two bronze medals in the first Grand Prix event of the year in Moscow, the team of Yuval Filo, Alona Koshevatskiy, Ekaterina Levina, Karina Lykhvar and Ida Mayrin – pictured fashioning out a Star of David – finished ahead of Belarus and Ukraine.

The team, who will represent Israel at this summer’s Rio Olympics, will today compete in Israel, in the national
championships at the Malha Arena in Jerusalem, while Holon will host the 32nd European Rhythmic Gymnastics
