Israeli sailing teams drift out of medal race contention

Men and women's pairing endure disappointing day of action.

Eyal Levin and Dan Froylich

The second day of action in the 470 Class campaigns produced disappointing results for both of Israel’s men and women sailing teams.

With the top ten progressing – after ten races – to the medal race, Eyal Levin and Dan Froyliche sat in 10th place after the first two races. However, they slipped a further five places down the table after Thursday’s third and fourth races, as a result of finishing in 17th and 21st place respectively.

It’s as you were for the women’s team of Gil Cohen and Nina Amir, who remain overall in 17th position, following 19th and 15th place finishes in the third and fourth races. As with the men’s competition, the top ten teams after ten races, will qualify for the medal race.
