A special online event is being hosted by the World Zionist Organization – UK (WZO UK) for this year’s Chanukah celebrations, featuring a live concert by Israeli singer Yehoram Gaon and songs by the Jerusalem Boys Choir.

Audiences in the UK and Ireland, as well as from across the world, will be able to join the Chanukah celebrations for free on Sunday 13 December between 6 – 8pm, during which the fourth candle will be lit live from Israel.

Held from the Petah Tikva Cultural Hall in Israel, the online stream will feature special guest star Yehoram Gaon, who WZO UK have branded ‘Israel’s equivalent of Tom Jones’, as well as hearing from Israel’s representative boys choir.

The event will also feature addresses from other guests including the Israeli ambassador to the UK Tzipi Hotovely, new chairman of the World Zionist Organization Yaakov Hagoel and the WZO UK’s head of delegation Izchak Sonnenschein.

Joining them will be the Senior Rabbi of the Spanish and Portuguese Sephardi Community of the UK, Rabbi Joseph Dweck and the first Ethiopian Minister in Israel Pnina Temano Shata, both of whom will recite blessings for unity and love between the people of Israel and Diaspora Jewry.
