Glushko, who was looking to reach her fourth US Open, was also beaten in straight sets, beaten 6-4, 6-0 by American Jennifer Brady.

However, American Noah Rubin is just one win away from reaching the main draw after he beat German Michael Berrer 6-2, 4-6, 6-4. He next faces Russian Karen Khachanov.
