Israel’s Foreign Minister is set to arrive in London on Monday at the start of a key week for relations with Britain.

Eli Cohen will touch down for a two-day trip ahead of Benjamin Netanyahu’s arrival on Friday.

Cohen is expected to meet UK counterpart James Cleverly, with the two signing a ‘roadmap’ document about deepening relations over the next ten years in the fields of technology and health. Also on the agenda will be the Iranian nuclear threat. He will also attend a commemoration marking the 20th anniversary of the attempted assassination in London of ambassador Shlomo Argov.

He will be accompanied by a delegation of Israeli fintech companies in order to promote economic relations between the two countries.

Cohen said: “We are about to sign a ‘road map’ document that will expand and deepen the relationship with one of Israel’s greatest friends in the world.”
