Ivanka Trump calls synagogue shooter a ‘depraved bigot and anti-Semite’

Donald Trump’s daughter has led the messages of support and solidarity on social media, following Saturday’s horrific attack in a Pittsburgh synagogue.

Ivanka Trump said she stands with the Jewish people and called the gunman, identified as 46-year-old Robert Bowers, a “depraved bigot and anti-Semite.”

Saying how America is stronger than the acts of a depraved bigot and anti-semite, she wrote on twitter: “All good Americans stand with the Jewish people to oppose acts of terror & share the horror, disgust & outrage over the massacre in Pittsburgh.
We must unite against hatred & evil.

“God bless those affected.”

The CEO of the Anti Defamation League, Jonathan Greenblatt, shared words of devastation:, writing: “We are devastated. Jews targeted on Shabbat morning at synagogue, a holy place of worship, is unconscionable. Our hearts break for the victims, their families, and the entire Jewish community.”

Actor Josh Gad, known for roles in “Frozen” and “The Book of Mormon,” revealed how he also belonged to the synagogue. He said: “I went to school in Pitt. I attended services at this Temple. I don’t know what to say anymore or how to say it. Words have clearly lost all meaning because we are doing NOTHING to stop incocent masses of people in schools, Churches and now Temples from being killed in droves”

Actress Bette Midler called for leadership, tweeting: “To the families of those who died in the synagogue shooting in Pittsburgh, my deepest and sincere sympathies.”

U.S. ambassador to Israel, David Friedman, shared a statement, saying: “Today the residents of Pittsburgh’s Squirrel Hill community are in mourning in the aftermath of a terrorist shooting attack shattering Tree of Life synagogue’s Shabbat services. We are heartbroken and pray for the victims and their families, including the brave police.”
